Contract 123510/2024

FAO — Rehabilitation of Small-Scale Irrigation Systems, Lot C, Lattakia, Syria (ITB2023/FNSYR/123510, OSRO/SYR/040/HCR)

Scope & Outcome

Under FAO’s Lot C in Lattakia, Rabbat Electric supported the rehabilitation of small-scale irrigation pumping assets that were affected by recent seismic events and grid instability. Working as a sub-contractor to RK-Group LLC, our scope focused on restoring safe medium-voltage (MV) intake and dependable pump operation at the Ein Al Bayda Pump Station.

We engineered and supplied a new 6.3 kV incoming panel (protection & control), integrated it with the existing station systems, and completed interface cabling and testing. In line with the Lot C objectives, we performed inspections, corrective works on power/control wiring, and functional checks of permissives, interlocks, alarms, and trips to re-establish reliable irrigation service to local users.

The upgraded intake and controls reduced nuisance trips and improved start-up repeatability. On completion, we provided commissioning support and operator training, plus a handover package to aid future maintenance and safe operation.
