PO ING01AE-AML22-020341 – Banias Power Plant Starting Engine

Scope & Outcome

Under purchase order ING01AE-AML22-020341, Rabbat Electric supplied and installed a diesel starting-engine package for a turbine unit at Banias Power Plant. The turnkey scope covered engineering survey, mechanical installation, electrical integration, and commissioning to return the unit to dependable start service.

The delivered scope included the starting engine assembly with baseframe and coupling, local starter/control panel, fuel and exhaust auxiliaries, vibration/temperature instrumentation, and all interconnection cabling. We aligned the package with the existing turbine controls and interlocks, executed no-load and load trials, and trained operators on routine start sequences, emergency stops, and preventive maintenance tasks.

The result was a reliable, repeatable start capability that shortens recovery time and enhances plant availability—supported by a spares kit and a clear O&M handover dossier.
